Field notes · Coastal Kenya · June 2023

Learning begins among the mangroves.

At Mikoko Pamoja, a lesson in mangrove carbon assessment was part of a wider exchange between fishers and civil society representatives from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Madagascar. Their three-day visit connected community conservation, fisheries and coastal enterprise through practical learning on the ground.
